Medical app

A secondary user review of an available on the market medical app revealed a group of needs that the app wasn't addressing. Low ratings indicate reduced satisfaction among some users of the product. I propose a redesign of the app to address the identified issues.

The problem:

Users who decide to use the application want to make an appointment with a doctor quickly and without queues because they expect effective quality for paying for a service.

The goal:

The Medical app will let users book a doctor’s appointment and be informed about available alternatives to see a doctor, which will affect users who have to make a quick medical help by letting users skip waiting in a line and saving them time.

The role and responsibilities:

UX research, digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, taking accessibility into account

Recommendations

Based on the collected data, I can recommend:

  • Ensuring alternatives are provided to users when doctors are unavailable and ensuring a clear flow of information between doctors and patients, so that users don't have to share their medical history with the doctor.
  • Ensuring the app onboarding process is as simple as possible, for example, by using OTP login, creating an account in the app's background without direct user involvement, and providing quick access to doctor contact information without the need to log in.
  • Ensuring technical support, such as efficient document downloads in .pdf format, dark mode, and the ability to personalize settings.
